Japan: Day 1 and 2 (Hello Japan!)

We recently got home from a two week vacation in Japan. Overall it was a great trip - a little bit of culture, history, sight-seeing and adventure! I'll try to highlight days of the trip through various blog posts. We took about 1900 pictures/movies on the trip so it was/will be difficult to only show a few pictures...Enjoy!

Eating our first meal on the plane. I believe it was during this meal Rob used his pillow case as a napkin and the rest of us were not sure the reason...I'm sitting in the aisle seat across from them if you were wondering. Btw, saw "New in Town" which makes fun of Minnesotans (not really the point of the movie). A pretty bad movie but worth watching for the Minnesota "accents".

Arriving in Tokyo after an 11 hour flight. Luckily, it was a non-stop flight from MSP but still a long flight. We're waiting to go through customs.

Waiting for the shuttle from the airport to our hotel. I think Japan is 13 hours ahead of us.

There weren't any restaurants by our hotel (we stayed at an airport hotel the first night) so we went to the convenient store by our hotel for our first Japanese meal! The ramen noodles were tasty.
