Florida Trip: Day 1 & 2

My parents bought a home in FL so we thought it would be fun to get out of the cold weather.  My mom flew out a day early and Saturday morning (7 AM flight!), Dave, Elijah and my dad made the dreaded airplane ride.  Actually though, Elijah did wonderful and it could not have gone any better - lots of stuff to see and we packed lots of milk and food.  He waved to people as they walked by and several people on the plane thought he was such a cutie.  He didn't cry once.

Day 1
He drank a lot of milk (18 oz!!) and ate a lot.  I'm really glad I brought lots of milk.
It was nice that my dad took him for an hour or so and when I went to check on them, this is what I saw.
When we took off and landed, he loved looking at the action on the tarmac.
Walking around and then driving around in the grocery store.
Day 2
Enjoying breakfast and a relaxing walk in the association.
 Walking around Old Town.
Eating outside at a Greek restaurant in Downtown.  First time he tried calamari and gyros.  He only ate a tiny bit but glad he tried it.  He's a picky eater but once he finds something he likes, there's no stopping him!
 Checking out Downtown.
Next, it was off to Marco Island to check out the beach.  Elijah was very scared of the beach and ocean.  By the time he left, the beach was "cool" to him (enjoyed throwing the sand) but was still hesitant about that large, salty ocean.  At the beach is where he developed a love of birds.  From this moment to when we left, he pointed at birds and "talked" to show us.
The Marco beach was really nice, sand was soft and overall, very clean.
Checking out the ocean for the first time.
Most likely pointing to birds in both pictures.
 Birds.
Taking a much needed bath after a busy day.  He was one tired boy by day's end.

With first hand experience, I am convinced that Eli is a best-of-class baby traveler.
