Tough Crowd

I got a complaint from a reader that it's been a while since I last posted.  Thus the title of the post.

Elijah loves to play and help burp Nathaniel.

1st picture: Elijah opening presents with cousin Weston helping.  Embarrassingly, Elijah asked for "more" - as in more presents.

2nd picture: Cousins/Brothers...Nathaniel, Weston, Graham and Elijah.

Still loves the sandbox Grandpa Benson built.

 

 

Dave took Elijah to the train museum and they both loved it! 

 

 

 

 

Elijah turned two on 8/22!  Elijah may think that birthdays last longer than a day because his celebration lasted a week or so - this is how his week went down:

Saturday, 8/17 - Benzing family over to celebrate Elijah's birthday because they were not able to make it to his birthday party.

Monday, 8/19 - Tuesday, 8/20 - Toddlers at daycare, including Elijah, prepare for his birthday by rehearsing "Happy Birthday".  Love toddlers!

Wednesday, 8/20 - Last day at daycare before his birthday.  They celebrated his birthday by giving Elijah a crown, singing to Elijah and Elijah blew out fake candles on a cake.

Thursday, 8/22 - Elijah's actual birthday.

Saturday, 8/24 - Elijah's birthday party.

Celebrating his birthday at daycare.

Dad took him to Target and picked out a (loud) loader.  #RookieMistake.  Poor kid was playing with it in the box because Dave did not put it away when he got home (since it was the day before his birthday).  #RookieMistake.

This is what Elijah does when we say "big smile".

Elijah loves listening to music on the iPod.  We usually do not let him lay down on the peninsula...
