Snack of the Week: Part VII (I Heart Snacks)

This snack is fairly common - grapefruit! It's a re-freshing and healthy snack. There are several methods of preparation...

Dave's family: Slice in half (as shown in the picture to the left), sprinkled with sugar or NutriSweet and eaten with a serrated spoon. To finish, the remaining juice is squeezed into the mouth (the best part).

Missy's family: Remove outer layer of skin and separate pulp from clear skin. Then eat the grapefruit, similar to an orange. Removing the clear skin is key because the skin tastes fairly sour. This method is fairly time consuming but the results are tastefully rewarding.

How do you eat your grapefruit?

I would peel everything to eat it like an orange. You should really try Pomelos! They are way better than grapefruits.
