Elijah's First Word

We decided that Elijah's first word is "bird".  We thought determining his first word would be straightforward...it would be the first word that came out of his mouth...but not so easy.  It had to meet this criteria:

1. Elijah has to understand what it means.
2. Elijah has to enjoy saying it.  He stopped saying "mama" and "dada"...sad.
3. The word has to be clear and understandable.  Disclaimer: A lot of time, bird is "bah".

A close first word is "buh-bye", so cute when he says it and waves.  I thought his first word would be "mama" but not sure he understands what it means...nor does he say it anymore. :/
